I saw a child in a full-on chicken costume (feathers and all) at the farmer's market up here. You should consider one for Maybelle next year and continue with the bird theme.
i usually don't publish anonymous comments, even when they are nice, but i published yours because: did you know that Mr. Hamlett was my high school latin instructor?
Alison Piepmeier was a professor in the Women's and Gender Studies Program at the College of Charleston, and much, much more. When she wasn't working to bring down the patriarchy, she wrote here and elsewhere about feminist disability studies, Zines, her ugly car, and an eclectic range of topics. She also wrote about the brain tumor that eventually caused her death on August 12, 2016, at the age of 43.

What an adorable duck! How did you make it fit her :)?
love you,
C
Awesome!
Tumbl'd.
I took all the duck parts off the actual duck outfit and hot glued them to a little sleep sack Maybelle had that mostly fit her.
We only went trick or treating briefly, with a group, but I had all the Halloween fun I wanted getting to laugh at how unbelievably cute she looked.
There's nothing like glue. I'm so glad you had so much fun :).
